Mentor gives Margaret the confidence to grow her business A Derbyshire entrepreneur is going from strength to strength thanks to the support she has received through a special mentoring programme.
Margaret Edwards, founder of M E Associates, is one of over 250 business owners and manager who have received help and guidance from MentoringforAll East Midlands. M E Associates which is based in Glossop, provides cxecutive coaching and interim human resources management solutions for businesses. Margaret received an email which was advertising the MentoringforAll programme, which is funded by East Midlands Development Agency (emda). The programme matches experienced business mentors with entrepreneurs, to provide invaluable support, advice and expertise to help their businesses to grow. Margaret believes that she has gained skills and knowledge that have her business to grow and develop. She said: “Working with my mentor has given me the confidence to develop my business further. It has also helped me to develop a more business-like mind set which has helped to focus my ideas in a more effective way. I believe that the financial success that my business has seen in recent months is down to the mentoring programme and I would highly recommend it to all business owners.” Speaking about the benefits of the MentoringforAll initiative, John O’Reilly, emda’s Business Support Director said: “Managing and running your own business is very exciting, but it is not always easy and can sometimes be a lonely job. This is why having the support of an experienced business mentor is invaluable.
